What equipment am I going to use?
In my group we were asked to use a Nikon D5000 camera, an SD card, a tripod to keep the shots clear and smooth, a Mac Computer for editing and ....... as our editing software.
Nikon D5000 camera -
In my media lesson we were taught how to use the nikon camera. We were taught things like how to turn it on, how to turn it off, what buttons we click to start filming and which button is to stop or pause and how we can go back to watch it. We were also taught how to zoom in and zoom out and how to blur the camera and how to keep it focused.
Sd card -
We were shown where to insert this into the camera.
Tripod-
Within lesson we were taught how to set the tripod up by our media department technician. He told us that all the legs of the tripod have to be at the same height or our camera will not be straight and will be filming in a weird direction and this will cause our work to look unprofessional. He also told us that if the little ball on the tripod is in the middle then all legs are at the same length and that it was ready to use to put a camera on it.
Mac computer -
The mac computer was used for a variety of different things, such as research and planning for our media work, and to use softwares such as final cut pro etc.
