Preliminary task

For our preliminary task we were put into a group and was asked to re-make the video to The Saturdays - What about us and to lip sync the song. We also had to look at the different types of shots that were used in the original video, framing, composition and edit our shots for it to look exactly the same as the original video.

Although we had some difficulties such as not having 5 group members and only having 3. Another issue was lip synching as it was hard to make sure the lyrics were correct and that the music and lip syncing matched. On the other hand we were still successful with our preliminary task.

This is an establishing shot which is a shot that establishes a scene. This gives the viewer information about where the scene is set.
We did have difficulties taking this shot as we could not go on top of our school buildings roof because of health and safety regulations so we had to use this shot with trees in the way of the view.
Whilst putting our work together and editing our week we used different types of effects so that it could look exactly the same.

This is a medium close up shot of the lower part of the body. With this shot we managed to take exactly the same shot as from the original video. This shot was taken in our sixth forms car park.I

This is a close up (cu) in a close up a certain feature or person takes up the whole frame. A close up of a person’s face is useful as it helps the audience understand the characters facial expression and shows the characters in detail. Also can be a shot of an object, filmed from close to the object or zoomed in to it, that reveals detail.
As we were in sixth form we could not tell the students who were out of lessons to move and we did not have a wall that had graffiti on it.
